President’s Challenge 2025

This year’s challenge, rather than technique, color, or fabric based, is
going to be theme based...Opening to ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES based on
your interpretation of the theme. That “Theme” this year being the
Fibonacci Sequence. Now don’t roll your eyes on a mathematical based
theme from a 13th century mathematician. The Fibonacci Sequence is
all around us. As you research this you will be amazed that this
numerical sequence is EVERYWHERE, it’s not just math. The world
around us is filled with this amazing sequence of numbers. Not to
mention in your daily quilting you are constantly using math in your
blocks, in your layouts, even down to your stitch length. You can’t go
wrong with this challenge this year, simply pick one or a group of
numbers from the sequence, or chose an example of the sequence from
nature, or any way you chose to relate the sequence to your project.
The project can be anything fiber art related from a quilt to a doll to a
potholder, whatever you would like to experiment with as long as you
can relate it to the Fibonacci Sequence.
