EVERGREEN QUILTERS

February Program
Please join us on February 18 at 10:00 am for our first speaker of the year, Dianna Sarich, one of our own guild members. Dianna's presentation is called, "My Quilting Journey, and What I have learned and Unlearned." As part of her presentation, Dianna will be sharing quilts from her collection.
Dianna's Bio
I grew up in Bellingham, having moved here with my parents when I was age 4. My mom made all of my clothes, crocheted, knitted, embroidered and made quilts. I learned to make clothing but I had no interest in quilting. I met my husband in high school, we both went to the University of Washington in Seattle, were married and when we graduated, I in nursing and John in engineering, we moved with our 3-month-old daughter to Richland, WA where we lived for 5 years. We then moved to Anchorage, with our 3 young children in 1975 and then to Valdez, AK in 1980 with our 4 kids. I enjoyed making clothing for the kids, various arts and crafts, stained glass, and cross stitching. I was re-introduced to quilting in the mid 1980’s and now that is my main creative activity. We moved back to this part of the world 30 years ago. Although I am slowing down, I still enjoy gardening and camping and, in the past, with my husband I enjoyed backpacking, kayaking, and traveling. I really enjoy a variety of quilting genres and techniques and have made projects from mini quilts to king size bed quilts but find that there is never enough time! Like most quilters I have too much fabric but never have what I need for a given project so I have to acquire more!
Following Dianna's presentation we will be having a potluck lunch. Please bring a dish of your choice to share. We hope to see you there!
The EverGreen Quilters meet at the United Church of Ferndale, 2034 Washington St., Ferndale, WA 98248.
